In keeping with the National Policy for the Protection of Children and Youth published by the USCCB, training about the signs and symptoms of child abuse is required at least once for all clergy (bishops, priests and deacons) and lay staff and volunteers in the diocese, its parishes, schools and organizations.
Online training is required prior to volunteering and working in the Diocese of Worcester. Parish or School Coordinator/Secretary will provide instruction on receiving an invitation email link to the training site. Please contact them directly for more information about Safe Environment Requirements to volunteer/work in your Parish or School.
If further information or instruction is needed please email Cathaleen Peloquin at cpeloquin@worcesterdiocese.org. Please include the following information in your email; full name, parish/school/agency name and location and your staff or volunteer position. The online training is provided by Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center (DCAC).
Periodic ON-SITE TRAINING is offered around the diocese and a schedule is posted below as they are announced.
